Do you think Japanese beetles are harmful or helpful to have in a garden? (Look on page 6.)

Harmful! They ate our green bean plants this summer. We even set up a bag to trap them. They still ate the leaves and we were so mad!

Alexis we had these in our garden as well this summer! I will have to make a trap next year and see if that helps. They definitely do hurt our gardens and plants! They are very interesting bugs though, I love all of the colors they have.

I think the Japanese beetles are harmful to gardens because they eat the leaves. Then the plants die.

I agree with all of my Super Star Readers those beetles may look beautiful but they hard very harmful to our plants and flowers. We will all have to make beetle traps next spring.
