The larvae spit on the dead bugs left by the adult ants. The spit turns the food to a juicy slime that the adult ants feed to the larvae. It sounds like teamwork!

I agree with Lauren, it is an example of great team work! It is also another example of cool but weird science. Learning about nature is awesome!

The adults give the larvae food and the larvae throw up on it. Then the larvae eat some and the adults eat the rest. That's pretty gross because they all eat the food that the larvae threw up on. It's cool too because they work together.
